In our last post, we offered some tips on achieving a healthy glow for summer. Here are a few more tips to help you streamline your skin care routine and bring out your best.
Start from the bottom up. Where to begin on those calloused feet and scaly heels? You can make your own foot scrub using 1 cup sea salt, 1 teaspoon honey and 3 tablespoons coconut oil. Mix ingredients and scrub feet, rinsing well with warm water. Next, apply Fresh Skin Rx or a moisturizer of your choice. Wrap your feet in socks or plastic wrap, then put on a pair of socks. Leave on during your evening routine or even overnight for the best results.
Now, pay attention to your hands. Here’s some advice from Whole Living: Rub 1 teaspoon of oil into hands and cuticles. Wrap each hand in a small towel, and allow the oil to penetrate for at least 5 minutes. Wipe the excess oil off hands, but don't rinse them; any remaining oil will be absorbed over the next few minutes. Follow with a rich hand cream.
For all-over beauty, get your omega oils. Look for one that uses plant-based rather than fish oil (such as Udo’s Choice). Omega oils are scientifically proven to moisturize skin from the inside out, to help balance hormones, to stabilize mood and to help ward off depression.
